About Me
Hi I'm Jasmina!
I am a Melbourne based photographer that also services regional Victoria.
Like many photographers, my interest began in my high school years. I was fortunate to be exposed to the world of analogue photography during this time and at university, which had a huge influence on my love for this medium.
At the time, I had a thing for abandoned buildings, low light photography and gorgeous landscapes discovered on many trips in Australia and the world. For many years, photography ran parallel to my role as a social enterprise manager where I worked closely with the refugee and asylum seeker community, another passion of mine.
When my daughter was born, my focus shifted. I began documenting her life and experimenting with my camera in other ways. This time it wasn’t just about achieving "perfect" exposures and compositions, it was about encapsulating a feeling, a fleeting moment, a sound, a smell and preserving it. Time takes on a new meaning when you're watching your child grow. This realisation played a significant part in my approach as a photographer and why I wanted to offer these keepsakes to others.
I often photograph my daughter and me together at home doing day to day things. These images, our early days together, are some of my most cherished. There is something so poignant in the ordinary.
I am inspired by the seasons of life and curious about exploring how this uniquely impacts and shapes individuals. I want all of my sessions to be collaborations with clients, a joint process of telling your unique story creatively through imagery.
